This week our team will be present at the IEC 61850 week, an event organized by Smart Grid Forums.
The event was initially to have taken place in Sweden, but due to the pandemic, the organizers decided to turn the event into a virtual one. The event was to last 5 days, from October 18th to the 22nd.
This year was the 8th edition of the event, with special emphasis being placed on users, networking, conferences and workshops.
The focus of this year´s program was to boost the deployment of IEC 61850 next generation architectures by way of specifications, engineering, trials, operations and more efficient maintenance. Innovations in cybersecurity as a quicker replacement strategy was also discussed.
Both assistants and speakers are professionals with a lot of experience in the implementation of digitization projects and substation automation. More than 150 professionals are expected to attend.
Sponsors include companies such as Megger, Hitachi ABB, Omicron, among others.
As we have already posted, we are working on the development of a substation monitoring module. The Smart Grid Forum event allows us to exchange know-how and ideas with other professionals, see the latest tendencies, meet market leaders and validate ideas.
CIC has attended various Smart Grid Forums. We want to thank and congratulate the event organizers. The events are very well defined and they allow us to expand our know-how, meet other sector professionals, motivate each other to continue innovating and add value.
Our friendly team of experts are on hand to help.
